For whatever the reason, neither the Vancouver Canucks or the Boston Bruins can get a win on the road.
The Canucks have absolutely sucked on the road, the Bruins have played well, but the score board hasn’t been in their favor in Vancouver.
Couldn’t the fourth time be a charm for the Bruins with the Stanley Cup on the line?
That’s the real question. On Monday night the Boston Bruins tapped the Canucks real good, and won with a final score of 5-2.
Luongo (Canucks Goalie), gave up 3 goals in first 1/2 of the first period. It makes the Stanley Cup story that much more interesting, as Loungo was caught friendly trash talking Tim Thomas’ performance in game #5 saying that he would have stopped the goal that Timmy let through that gave the Canucks the win.
When Luongo is hot, he is hot, but he is cold he is a block of ice. Luongo has two shut outs in the series, but now he has also given up 15 goals in 5 periods in Boston, and has had to be pulled from two games. This last game he was pulled before he got out of the first period.
Tim Thomas had 36 saves on the night, and Luongo had 5, while giving up 3 goals in 8 shots against him.
Luongo is still scheduled to start over Cory Schneider when the series returns to Vancouver, because he plays good at home and has only given up 2 goals in 3 games on his home ice.
The Bruins were just hot Monday night. They broke a Stanley Cup Finals record by scoring four goals in the first 4:14 of the game.
Game #7 will be Wednesday in Vancouver to decide who will be the Stanley Cup Champions. If Vancouver can win, it will be their first Stanley Cup win in their franchise history.
