U.S Women’s soccer beat France, and is heading the their 3rd Women’s World Cup Final and will play Japan.
Although the U.S. Women’s soccer team has beat Japan twice in recent months, Japan is playing some great football right now.
They knocked off two of the top European teams in Sweden and Germany to reach the final against the U.S, and in stellar fashion.
This will be the first Women’s World Cup for the Japan women’s team. The game will be on Sunday at 2pm EST.
The U.S. beat France 3-1 in the semi-final with goals from Cheney (9th min), Wambach (79th min), and Morgan (82nd min).
The U.S women didn’t waste anytime with taking the lead quickly in this one, while Hope Solo (U.S. goalie) was brilliant again defending the net, bring a spark to the team, and holding France to only one goal.
France will play Sweden for third place on Saturday at 11 AM EST.
