The NFL playoffs give us the first round that we were asking for. The underdog Seattle Seahawks defeat the defending world champions and Payton’s Indianapolis Colts lose to the New York Jets as the final seconds tick off the clock.
For the first time in the history of the NFL, a below 500 hundred team wins their division, and gets into the playoffs. That’s not all the Seattle Seahawks had in store, they knocked off the defending champion New Orleans Saints lead by Drew Brees.
The day was, then closed out by Payton Manning losing to the refurbished New York Jets as the Jets ran the time of the clock in the final minutes of the 4th quarter and kicked the game winning field goal to win by one 17-16. Mr. Manning and company have made 9 straight playoffs and have a world championship under their belt.
Seattle will go to Chicago to face the Bears and the Jets will go to play the New England Patriots at home.
