Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (NEWSTABULOUS) – Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley is the upcoming much anticipated Welterweight superfight for the WBO Welterweight championship being held on May 7, 2011, at MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Shane Mosley has said that if he has a bad loss to Pacquiao he may retire.
Pacquiao is heavily favored to win. Many fans and critics believe the 39 year old Mosley is past his prime. If Pacquiao loses, it could jeopardize the chances of a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum has stated that should Pacquiao win, it could setup a third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez in November.
R&B singer Tyrese Gibson will be singing the national anthem for the United States and Charice Pempengco with be performing the national anthem for the Philippines.
Al Bernstein will call all the action Saturday night on Showtime pay-per-view along with Gus Johnson and Antonio Tarver.
