Amazing Serbian tennis star, Novak Djokovic, is having a perfect season (41-0), and he wants to keep it that way while picking up a French Open win…
But Federer stands in his way of his perfect season, tying McEnroe’s open season record, and a French Open title at Roland Garros.
Roger Federer, with 16 Grand Slam titles already under his belt, he knocked off the “Sliderman” (Monfils) in three straight sets to advance to the semifinals against Djokovic.
After winning three straight against Monfils (6-4, 6-3, 7-6), Federer is on a five set win streak in this French Open.
Monfils said that Federer has an amazing ability to hurt you by changing the pace so quickly.
Djokovic will be looking to get into Federer’s head and deliver a back to back to back semifinal knockouts to Federer between the two in major championships…
And neither of the other two times Djokovic knocked out Federer has Djokovic been playing this good. With one more win he will tie McEnroe’s Open era record of 42 wins to start a new season, and with three more wins he will tie Vilas’ record of 46 straight matches won.
This will be a power packed semifinal, as all the players in the semifinals are in the top 5 seeds.
Murray will be playing Juan Ignacio Chela in the other semifinal match.
