With 6:28 seconds left in the game, the Dallas Mavericks found themselves down 15 points and about to drop the second game in a row in the NBA finals…
But somehow they found a way to win. They closed the gap and tied the game with :57 left, then took the 93-90 lead on a Nowitzki 3 pointer.
The Heat’s Chalmers tied the game back up with a 3 pointer of his own, but he left to much time on the clock for Dirk Nowitzki to get in the lane and make a layup with 3 second left in the game.
That was all Dallas need to win to complete on of the biggest 4th quarter (NBA Finals) comebacks in history, and tie the series at 1-1.
Dirk was the Championship Circle player of the game with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assist, and a block.
D. Wade was the game’s high scorer with 36 points. He also had 6 assist, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
Dallas got some much needed points from Shawn Marion, who picked up 20 points and 8 boards. The Center, Chandler, had 13 points and Jason Terry had 16.
The Mavs need these kinds of points from other players to relieve some of the burden on Dirk to keep up with two of the some of the games most prolific scorers in Wade and James.
