The San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 to maintain a 3.5 game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West.
The Giants now move to 56-41 on the year, with a 29-16 home record and a 27-25 road record.
R. Vogelson will get the win for the Giants and now has a 7-1 record on the year. The Giants scored 1 run in the 4th off of a home run (394 feet) by Sandoval.
In the 6th, Fontenot scored on a Schierholtz single, Sandoval scored on a Ross double, and Ross scored on a Crawford single in front of a packed house at AT&T Park in San Fran.
San Francisco now has the third best record in the National League, behind Philadelphia and Atlanta.
Arizona is in a series with the Brewers, who they lost to in the first game 3-0, and are trailing 5-0 in the first inning due to three home runs, two of which were two-run homers (Hart, Braun, Betancourt).
The Diamondbacks are 52-44 on the year, with a 26-20 record at home. The Diamondbacks will have to face the Brewers one more time in the series on Wednesday, July 20th.
