Edwards and Cohron Win 1 vs. Wehrwein and Ballenger in AA Men’s 2×2 Sand Volleyball

Last night at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell, Texas (Dallas), Kenney Edwards & Aaron Cohron won 1 out of 3 games vs. Chris Wehrwein & Daniel Ballenger.

The first game was an 18-16 victory for Wehrwein & Ballenger, as was an intense first game where the players were feeling out the other team and their skills.

Edwards & Cohron won the 2nd game in a nail-biting 18-17 victory – Wow, great games…

Edwards being injured from matches on Saturday had a tough run, especially throughout the 3rd game. Chris & Daniel lost to Aaron & Kenney in a high intensity 18-17 victory for the rookies.

Kenney Edwards may sit out this next week to recover from his lower rib cage muscle strain. We’re not sure who Cohron will play with yet for a fill-in, but we’ll keep you posted.

Other noteable injuries are Jason Pondrum’s hamstring – he rested up this week for an upcoming tourney with winners getting the opportunity to play Todd Rogers & Phil Dalhauser.

Chad Gonzales, Pondrum’s partner, found a sub to play their games against Adam Engel & a Sub. This was the #1 & #2 seed teams – it would have been an amazing match up if all players were well and present!

All scores have not been posted, but we’ll probably update you on the outcomes from this week once they are, since the match ups and rumored victories are stirring!
