Torrance, California, USA (NEWSTABULOUS) – Soccer superstar and global heartthrob, David Beckham, and son, Brooklyn, have emerged uninjured following a car accident on a California highway.
His vehicle, a black Cadillac SUV, was headed southbound early Friday morning and collided with a stalled gold Mitsubishi that was broken down in the carpool lane. The incident occurred on Highway 405 just outside the city of Torrance near Los Angeles.
Beckham was not cited or arrested for his involvement in the accident. According to a spokesperson from the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the other vehicle, a 40-year-old Los Angeles man, was taken to a local hospital complaining of neck pain.
The 36-year-old British footballer has been a midfielder with the Los Angeles Galaxy since 2007, with brief stints on loan to the A.C. Milan club in Italy.
This accident came on the heels of David and his wife Victoria Beckham’s return from their attendance at the royal wedding in England.
