Organize Your Team in a Snap

August 14, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment

Are you frustrated as a coach trying to keep your team information, events, stats, fees, and schedules organized?

Are you a parent frustrated that you don’t know dates of games or practices?

Try TeamSnap – The simplest, easiest way to manage your team or group online.

TeamSnapWow – What a concept!

A coach can manage a sports team all online, seamlessly and in one place.

Everyone knows when the practices, games, events and fundraisers are. No confusion…no excuses.

Also, parents or players can let you know the games and practices they’re available for or can’t make it out to…all at your fingertips.

Parents, coaches and players can post photos of their team and share them with everyone.

Even cooler is their stat tracking system for so many different sports – soccer, baseball, soccer, cricket, ultimate frisbee, football, hockey, volleyball, tennis, rugby, lacrosse, swimming, cheerleading, etc and the list goes on!

Also, even if you don’t play a sport and are a group that needs activities organized like a babysitting co-op, church group, sorority or whatever, this is a great place to start.

I’m so excited about this because we do quite a bit of coaching. It can be our one stop shop for organizing the team!

The stats tracking section is my very favorite part…So easy, so fabulous!

Embarrassment Stopped Them From Excelling in Sports

July 16, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · 1 Comment

Soccer Cub... Youth T-ShirtWhat? You’re going to let embarassment stop you from playing sports?

You’re afraid to do something wrong? Well, we all do something wrong when playing sports – DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT! Say, “My bad!” and move on…just as everyone else will.

I think it’s most worrisome to our own selves…no one else is as concerned with our bobbled play or move than we are!!! We are always our own worst critic!

Yesterday, while enjoying some snacks on our porch in Dallas, a teenage boy was skateboarding down the street…We were hardly paying attention to him, except that we knew he was skateboarding.

There Is More to Cycling Than Just a Bike

June 8, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment

Yes, your bike is important, but there is other equipment to make your rides either more comfortable or more competitive.

You may think that all you need is the bike…not so.

Without the right shoes, like the sidi dominator for example, you may struggle to keep your feet in on the pedals.

That will hinder you from riding fast times.

Also, whether you’re simply training or competing, it’s important to wear eye protection, as there’s often a serious glare from the roads…Plus, they’ll keep you from squinting, dirt, bugs and windburn when cycling.

Check out giro sunglasses if you’re in the market for some eyewear.

It’s Soccer Season – What Do You Need?

May 29, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment

If you or your children are involved in soccer, no doubt, you’ve been running around for soccer equipment and gear.

There’s so much out there that it’s hard to know what is the best product and what you should buy that has the best value for your money.

So, I’m giving you a website that has great, in-depth analysis of soccer equipment, whether it be soccer balls, pads, gloves or cleats.

soccertools

It’s the best resource or buying guide for all things soccer that I’ve seen.

I know I’ve gone into a store looking for a piece of equipment only to be dazzled by the sheer number of choices…usually ending up leaving with nothing!

What’s also great about this site, is it lists adult soccer leagues and tournaments around the USA, not to mention soccer clubs!

Basically, it has all of your soccer sports gear needs handled.

Be sure to check it out and have fun out there!

Baden Sand Shark Outdoor VolleyballWell, last week the first season of the year for sand volleyball came to an end at Yucatan Beach Volleyball Club in Coppell, Texas.

Also, Kenney, Aaron & Anthony came 2nd in the B 3-on-3 co-ed league.

Man, what a season and they start all over in a new season this coming week…

However, Kenney will only play 2-on-2 and they’re moving up to the A level this coming season.
