2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is Coming

If you’re a skier, then I know you are getting in the skiing mood, maybe even looking up ski holidays for the Christmas season…
As this ski season is close at hand, it also has Canadians especially excited…
We are so very excited, as Canadians, that we’ll be hosting such an amazing line-up for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
My very favorite sports of the Winter Olympics are the skiing events…There’s really no other time that these sports are aired for us to view on television.
This 2010 Winter Olympics boasts alpine skiing, ski jumping, biathalon, nordic combined, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, and I even love watching the snowboarding events.
We would absolutely love to make it out to see some of the events in person in Vancouver. If you’re going, have a blast! Also, I know you’ll fall in love with Vancouver – so, be prepared to start looking for vacation homes in Vancouver…You’ll want to stay or visit it again often! It’s so beautiful there.
It’s funny that even thought I’m from Canada, I’ve never actually skied before! LOL…People think that’s so crazy!
However, I certainly would like to learn to ski now and was looking up some ski holiday information for my hubby and I – he’s a newbie too…I found Fast Track Ski to be a good reference site for ski deals.

Coaches: Well Equipped Teams Look Intimidating
September 16, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment
Whether you’re an athlete or a coach, no doubt you’re always needing new equipment and training clothes.
Duffel Bag by Imprinted.com
Coaches, please make sure your athletes all have matching bags – it looks so much more professional and intimidating when a team walks in and everything they’re wearing matches. Find a great place where they can print on useful promotional bags.
Golf Towel by Imprinted
Towels are needed by most athletes for either excess sweat or wiping off their piece of sports equipment. Maybe not all of your athletes will need one, depending upon the sport, but certainly some will. It’s not a bad idea, as a coach, to carry a few of these yourself too.
Umbrellas are another one of those imprinted promotional products that can cause a stir from the other team when they see you walk on the field. Match them with your team’s colors and you have a winner in intimidation, as well as shading your team from the sun, keeping them fresh for competition.
Every single athlete needs to drink water when they’re practicing, playing or competing and you can very inexpensively provide them with team water bottles – as low as $1.20 a piece.
Tire Tread Baseball Cap by Imprinted
Of course, embroidered hats are a must for more sports, whether or not your athletes wear them to play or compete in. Keeping them cool and their face shaded will help them from getting overheated in between games or matches.
The key is, if it’s not “cool” or useable, don’t bother ordering them – they won’t be used.
However, you can instill pride and excitement in your team when you break out the new boxes of shirts, water bottles, hats and the like.
If you can swing it, do so – these are some of the things athletes remember their entire lives and keep on wearing and using long after they’ve finished playing that year.

Starting at 6:25 pm tomorrow night at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell, Texas (Dallas), the gladiators of the courts will be back for volleyball-bashing, forced shanking, smack down games!
At 7:15 pm, our league faves and rookies, Kenney Edwards & Aaron Cohron will take on #1 seed Bryan Blakney & Adam Engel.
Kenney Edwards, injured from a game prior to Monday night last week, was questionable as to his return for this week’s exciting match up, but sources have confirmed that Kenney simply can’t sit out against these veteran sand volleyball titans.
We are unsure as to Jason Pondrum’s injury status, as him and veteran partner, Chad Gonzales are scheduled to Read more

Veteran Dawson and a Partner Sub vs. Rookies Edwards and Cohron in AA Sand Volleyball
August 18, 2009 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment
AA Men’s 2-on-2 Sand Volleyball veteran Shaun Dawson & a sub partner battled the rookies, Kenney Edwards and Aaron Cohron last night at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell, Texas.
Edwards and Cohron made a serious showing last week versus veterans, Gonzales and Pondrom, taking 1 game out of 3.
Last night, the games were so close for the rookies, but no cigar. However, Edwards and Cohron walked away with a draw in the 3rd game due to time limitations.
In the first game, the score ended up being an 18-14 point victory for the vets.
However, Cohron and Edwards game back with a vengeance in a 18-17 point victory to Dawson and his partner.
Tough final record for the rookies to swallow, as they came out playing tough against these veterans. Shaun Dawson and his usual partner, Trey Henderson, won the Champagne Volleyball Bubbly Cup a few weeks back at Yucatan Beach Club to qualify for the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup in San Francisco tourney last weekend.
This tournament allowed the ultimate winner to play in the AVP Pro Tour that weekend on August 14-16th.
Trey Henderson and Shaun Dawson made it to the semi-finals in that tourney and had a fabulous time. Apparently, Henderson is still Read more
