In the noon shocker, University of Connecticut knocked off the #1 seeded Pittsburgh Panthers in a buzzer beater 76-74 in the Big East Tourney.
Kemba Walker took a step-back jumper and the buzzer went off… you could see the hearts of the Pitt players and fans sink as the ball came through the bottom of the net.
The 6′ 1″ 172 pound guard, Walker, had 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assist today.
UConn has won 3 games in 3 days to get here, they will face the Syracuse basketball team tomorrow at 7:00 pm on ESPN.
Syracuse beat St. John’s 79 to 73. Triche lead the team in scoring with 22. The 6′ 4″ sophomore guard, added 6 rebounds and 5 assist to his 22 points.
Syracuse matches up pretty good with UConn. It will be interesting to see these two guards battle it out to see who will be in the Big East Championship game on Saturday.
