The Accenture Match Play 2011 brackets have been made and match play is set to begin on Wednesday Feb 23, 2011. Accenture is the global sponsor for the World Golf Championships and the Accenture March Play is the season opener.
This year’s fun will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Marana, Arizona. It’s a 64 man field and according to the Weather Channel, it will be 71 and partly cloudy. The course is 7,833 yards long and a par-72 layout. It’s all about hole-for-hole in this game. Win and you’re in, lose and you’re watching from the gallery.
Ian Poulter, last year’s winner, is the #3 seed in the Hogan bracket. He is known for sporting the white driver. He will be looking to repeat last year win, but will have to get the pass the lefty Mr. Phil.
There have still been questions about how Tiger will recover and if he will be able to keep a cool head and focus. Just last week he was fined for spitting on the green, an honest mistake.
The broadcast schedule has also been released if you can’t make it to see it in person.
