Come On Coach – Cool Uniforms Are A Must!
March 25, 2008 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment
I was speaking with one of my friends the other day about our “Glory Days” of softball. We played softball together or against each other for about 15 yrs.
In this particular conversation, we were reminiscing, and it just so happened that the stories all came back to how cool our uniforms were or weren’t in that year. We remembered a team from the States that we played one summer that were quite intimidating and in the end, we figured it had more to do with their cool outfits than anything else…LOL
My favorite uniforms were the ones that looked really tough, and the ones that had your name written on the back of the jersey above your number, which was a more rare occurrence…
I guess what I’m trying to say, or encourage, is that coaches should do their best to score their team some really cool uniforms when deciding on the Tshirt Printing…LOL…It may seem insignificant at the time…but we are still talking about our uniforms to this date…I still have some as keepsakes, in fact!
Not only could it instill confidence in your team, but other teams, clearly, could be intimidated…Seems silly doesn’t it? However, think of this…How many times have you told your team that the game or sport you play is a “mental game”? Okay then…LOL
I “Stumbled Upon” a neat site today, where you can Design Tshirts Online, making it easy to visualize exactly how your jerseys will look, in any color, with their artwork or your own. You have no excuse coaches…LOL…It’s fully automated to help you easily create athletic masterpieces!
Plus, there is a $0 set up fee for screen and film printing! Usually, it would cost about $30 for set-up at your local printer. As we just had some shirts and hats printed up for our business, I am very aware of pricing, and the items are less than 1/2 the price we paid for 12, and the prices keep reducing as you increase the number you want to order. Really great!
The site says you can get 1 or 1000 items printed…and they say they are 100% satisfaction guaranteed…
They have a really cool section, the Tshirt Man, where they specialize in your Christian teams’ printing needs.
Seems like you get high quality and low prices…Sounds great to me…I will not be bringing my business Read more
Basketball Is In The Air…
March 21, 2008 by Kimberly Edwards · 1 Comment
Since Spring is in the air, you must have a Spring in your step…
If you live up North in North America, you’re no doubt tired of this snow and cold!!!
If you love basketball, with March Madness on the airwaves and in sports fan conversations, you must be itching to get out and shoot some hoops…maybe a little one-on-one?
Be prepared…What does the basketball hoop in your driveway look like? Will your kids be trying to shoot hoops at their friends’ houses instead?
If you’re an avid basketball player, parent, or someone that gets together with their friends to play regularly, think about getting an Upgrade!
How cool would it be to have professional-looking, actual basketball court dimensions marked off on your driveway? Pretty cool, I think. For a young athlete that’s aspiring to get an athletic scholarship, who is constantly working on their game, this would be so handy!
Are you tired of those portable basketball hoop set-ups? Tired of them blowing over, or not being regulation height? Upgrade…inground basketball hoops are an awesome option and are really not that difficult to install.
I say all of this because I got to thinking about our “set-up”…It could be “Upgraded” too! So, I got to looking around online and found a website, dazadi.com…It got my brain racing with how we could “spruce” it up a bit…okay, a lot…

Oh…The excitement is at hand…2 more days until the NCAA Basketball Tournament and Finals begin!
It will be 19 days of men’s and women’s college basketball adrenaline and hard-core competition!
No doubt, as March Madness approaches, you, your friends and family will be calling who will win what game…
If you haven’t had a chance to watch this season’s games, and you need a crash course into figuring out who you want to go for, you’ll need to see some odds and points spreads for the NCAA tournament!
My dad and husband always print up the March Madness bracket, so they can fill it in as the teams play, marking who wins and who loses…Not to mention who was rooting for who and by what point spread, so no one can cheat…LOL
If you really want to get fancy, docsports.com archives the last 5 yrs of brackets for you to compare…
Don’t want to miss a thing? Well, the opening events started a few days ago…on March 16th, but the 1st round doesn’t start until March 20th!
Here’s a great page to have available for the March Madness Schedule of events…It even shows you Read more
Dancers Are Serious Athletes – And They Have Needs…
March 12, 2008 by Kimberly Edwards · 1 Comment
For those of you who have never participated in a ballet class, you have no idea!
I was a rhythmic gymnast and Canadian hopeful back in the day. I even lived away at Gymnastics school in Toronto, and guess what…We did ballet EVERYDAY (and Jazz a few days/week)!
This, by far, was the most difficult and strenuous part of our all-day practices, but probably one of the most important…The sheer strength and endurance it takes, not to mention serious concentration, is off the charts, if you want to be good at it! Phew!
One of my favorite days would be when the Gym Suit lady would come to sell new Leotards and other gear like our special Gymnastics Slippers we needed for working on the carpet, Dance Shoes and Ballet Shoes, and other Gear like our apparatus…Not only did we get a short break, but there’s nothing like dawning a brand new outfit…not just any outfit…but one that has been made specifically for our gymnastic and dancing purposes! They may have been a little pricey from that lady, but it was well worth it, and much cheaper and better quality than you would have found retail.
There are times when you are having a really tough day in training and you look down at your new suit and get a bit of cheer…It may sound funny, but it’s so true!
I remember how hard it was to track down all of the Gear and Leotards you needed…What a Pain!!! They never had everything you needed in one place at one time, and if they did, the price sent you right back out the door empty-handed, since it could get costly replacing your gear and leotards as often as they were needed.
We didn’t have the internet then, and that certainly would have made life a lot easier. Today, dancers have access to what they need and I Stumbled (add me as a friend on Stumble Upon) an amazing place where you can find all of your dancing needs in a one-stop-shop!

New York Yankees Sign Actor, Billy Crystal
March 12, 2008 by Kimberly Edwards · Leave a Comment
Yup…You heard me correctly…Actor, Billy Crystal, will be signed by the New York Yankees to play…
Now, don’t get too freaked out…It’s only for 1 day, long enough for him to play in an exhibition game against the Pittsburg Pirates.
Being an avid Yankees fan his entire life, Billy Crystal will wear #60 signifying his 60th Birthday, which will be the day after the game…
The New York Yankees basically want to thank Billy for his undying support for the New York Yankees, and it has not been determined as of yet which position he’ll play. However, Billy was captain of his Long Beach High School in New York, and batted a cool Read more
